OK, I've now got a Fickr account http://www.flickr.com/photos/teezletuerzle/ and I can share the photos of my cats with the world! (also my holidays)

If only that had been around when I did my degree!
Just read up on thing 15 and 16 and I know about these tools but never had the opportunity to use them, I wish they'd been around when I'd been doing my degree. I was lucky, a good 3/4s of my degree wanted Harvard referencing which I found really straightforward. Unfortunately I still had to do 'numbers' on one or two modules and that drove me up the wall!! Anyway, I'll know for future writing and possibly degrees!
Digging Diigio...I think
OK I'm now on to Diigio and I quite like it! I've never really used Delicious I just had long lists in IE :-( but admittedly these lists have got longer and there not as organised as they could be so this has been a good opportunity to streamline and order my bookmarks.
I haven't had any of the other problems some have with setting up my Diigio account. I've managed to transfer bookmarks across, tag them, mark them private etc. etc. The only thing that doesn't seem to be quite right is the create lists. I have created several but when I go to the drop down to add a site to a list it just says 'create list' and I'm thinking...I've done that why can't you see them? But maybe a breather and I'll come back to it later.

half way point - must be close to that award
OK so my journey has been more of a gallop through 23 Things but I have found quite a few things really useful. My favourite is probably the iGoogle page. It's brilliant having everything together all on 1 page.
I also really like Doodle, it's so easy to use but I still don't think I'd use it internally.
I am going to make a concerted effort to Tweet more and stop lurking about!

Fabulous Facebook
Facebook is a strange one. I have a love hate realtionship with it. I really enjoy using Facebook on my phone app http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=832875270 just can't be bothered to use it on my computer.
I do follow other library colleagues as well as personal friends and find it a fascinating insight into people's lives, even just the ordinary is somehow comforting. And being able to read it all very quickly off a small screen on my phone when waiting to but a coffee is as much as I want to do.
It's also enabled me catch up with many of my old school friends (you'll notice some very dodgy school photos that people keep tagging me on if you choose to 'like' my Facebook page) and that too has been really interesting in finding out how their lives have panned out.
On the more serious, work side I do use the Library Facebook page, again as a means of communicating with students on things that might be happening in the Library which will be of interest to them.
Facebook is also added to my Tweetdeck, so when I choose to access this at home on my computer I can see all the posts in full - still prefer my phone app though ;-)

Latent Twitterer
I do have a Twitter account http://twitter.com/#!/sharontuersley and I really enjoy using Twitter but I'm more of a lurker than a tweeter. That said I often post on the Library's Twitter account http://twitter.com/#!/warwicklibrary to update our followers on vacation opening hours, vacation loans or anything unusual happening.
I've also installed Tweetdeck so that I can really lurk. I've found Tweetdeck fantastic for wasting time and get absolutely side-tracked :-) as such I've had to remove it from my work computer....except for Friday afternoons...

Crafty as a.....
...fox :-)
Well I already have FireFox installed so that was a realtively easy start to Thing 9. I don't use FireFox as my default browser but I do use it to check how things might display on webpages I create because I am aware that lots of people do.
I was looking at some Google Analytics of the Library webpage the other day and it's interesting to see which browsers are being used most to access us and the decline of Internet Explorer in comparison to the rise of Google Chrome, FireFox etc.
